Labor Day Weekend

Our weekend started out with Geoff, Shelby, and I going to Grammy's house and having a BIG VEGAN DINNER!!! WOohoo! It was SUPER yummy! We even had Vegan German Chocolate Cake for my dad's b-day and vegan RootBeer floats and vegan ice cream (mocha almond fudge, and chocolate peanut butter!)

My parents were kind enough to watch Shelby on Saturday night so Geoff and I could go on our FIRST date since the Shelbster was born. We went and saw 3 Doors Down, Staind, Hinder, and Sick Puppies in concert at the Kinocti Harbor Resort in Kelseyville, CA. Seriously...that place is GORGEOUS!! The road was VERY windy but we made it and had a Fabulous time. :-)

On Sunday, Mommy, Daddy, Ivanna, Shelby and most importantly, ME, all participated on a mini road trip. We had a blast! We first met at Grammy's house and had an all vegan breakfast (my mom makes great pancakes!) and then we were off! :-) We took Moody Road all the way up to Highway 1/Pescadero and took some pictures. Our next stop was Pigeon Point Lighthouse! I love that place! We have stayed there a couple times and even made it to the top of the lighthouse. UNFORTUNATELY...the lighthouse is no longer open. I was sad but it's okay. still a GREAT view.

Happy Birtday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dear Daddy! Happy Birthday to you! And MANY more...on channel 4. ANd Scooby Doo on Channel 2! And all the rest on TBS!!

So for my dad's birthday lunch we went to Saturn Cafe (Vegetarian Restaurant with Vegan Alternatives and a FANTASTIC place to eat). My dad got a free cup of ice-cream with a brownie on top and 2 candles! He was the Birthday Boy!

We then got to walk down Pacific Boulevard and check out all the shops. We stopped at Borders and Mommy and Daddy bought Shelby some really cool books! One (from my mom) was a book teaching little kids how to read notes and play piano with an attached keyboard. The other one (from my dad) was a book with 4 CD's and the matching song books to go with them for Shelby to learn lots of new songs! I'm so excited for her to try them out! :-)

We ended out road trip at Bad Ass Coffee in Santa Cruz and got to relax. I had a blast with everyone! I can't wait til our camping trip!

So...the BEST way to end the day...Shelby and I met up with Geoff and Jamison at Jamison's parents house and enjoyed a BBQ. :-) It was a great Labor Day Weekend! I hope you all had fun! Love, The Kniesch Family

Another Shelby Update

Shelby is now taking naps in her Crib (with her new crib set (Thanks Tina!!!) and is sleeping very comfortably in it) and actually ENJOYS her new bed! I have a feeling the transition will be very easy. All we need now is baby monitor...*hint hint* :-)

She is now strong enough to be in her stroller WITHOUT her carseat!!! Yay! I'm so excited! She also LOVES our morning walks with Lily (and her daughter Adina) and Jenny (with her daughter Adalyn). She is Such a good girl!

She has also recently started playing in her saucer! yay! so here's a picture of her laughing up a storm! :-) My little cutie pie is such a Goober!

Shelby is growing rapidly and is now teething! I took her to the doctor again because she was being fussy and I wanted to make sure she wasn't getting sick. NOPE! She's TEETHING!!! :-)

And here she is trying to EAT her Saucer. (She's a porker just like her daddy!)

Shelby's Two Months Old!!!!

I can't believe it...Our Baby Girl is TWO MONTHS OLD!!!!!

So today was her two month doctor appointment. She now weighs 11lbs, 14 oz, and is 24 inches long!!! She is getting soooo big!

A few milestones that she has now been able to do:

1. She lifts her head and shoulders when lying on her tummy (almost like a pushup!)
2. She responds to sounds and even looks in the direction they are coming from
3. She LOVES to stare at you and will even follow you when you move
4. She talks a lot! Lots of "ooohhhss" and "ahhhhsss" and "gooooo"
5. She Smiles a TON and loves to giggle!
6. She LOVES LOVES LOVESSSSSS to stand up! And when you prop her up she'll sit for a long time. :-)
7. She now rolls 3/4 of the way over. :-) My little baby girl is growing up sooo fast!

Okay...so now to the sad part. When we got to the doctor's office, she was ALL smiles and the doctor said she is doing really great and that she's in the 75% for height, weight AND head size. She's the most proportionate baby around! :-) THEN came the shots....POOR baby... 3 in total but oh man...I have NEVER heard my little angel scream like she did today. And poor baby has been fussy all afternoon and crying. The only way she'll stop crying is when I put her in the shower with me. But now she's all prune like. :-) She is sleeping now...but only from exhaustion.
We're going to buy some infant tylenol...

Anyways, just an update on Shelby. Love to you all! Love, Tabs

Always Up To Something...A Day at BenAnnie's

So we arrived at BenAnnie's house and were IMMEDIATELY bombarded by the two most loving friends we have...BENANNIE... They are not two people but one...So Bennie automatically started smooching my child. :-) *He TRIES to convince me he would never be a good father but I DEFINITELY disagree*

I have a lovely sister. Her name is Froggie. That's because she USED to be a Princess until someone kissed...then she became Froggie. Plus, she HATES Pink (aka Pepto Bismal) What a weirdo. But I love her! And she's my Froggie and she's the prettiest Froggie I know.

We discovered that my child makes LOTS of faces. She is full of lots of eyebrow movement and frowns. lol. She doesn't like the camera much BUT she does photograph well. :-)

The wonderful Annie got lots of time with my baby girl. I'm very eager for her and Ben to start making babies of their own because I have a feeling they're gonna kidnap my child.

SEE!!! He can't stop kissing her! He loves babies but just won't admit it! lol

Shelby's Growing Up Soooo Fast

So my little giraffe of a child is getting WAY ahead of herself. oh boy...I don't know if I should be happy or scared. She now sits up (and will stay sitting up by herself for a few seconds) AND she LOVES standing up. She can support her weight all by herself. Of course she still holds my fingers as she does it but she does it on her own! :-) She is sooo tall! She's 25 inches now! wow!

She has a new best friend! Adina!!!! :-) They're so cute together! Lily and I take our kids to the track everyday for a walk about an hour a day. I love it! I haven't had this much girl time in a LONG time. And today we did a mini photo shoot with the girls! Here are some pics. Hope you all enjoy! Love, The Kniesch Family

Exercise and Me

I know this has nothing to do with Shelby but I'm excited!

So...it's been exactly ONE week since I started my vigorous workout routine and I'm LOVIN it! :-)

So...6 days a week I do at least ONE hour of Turbo Jam (sometimes 2 depending on my mood and if I have the extra time) and ONE hour of walking the track with Lily, Adina, and Shelby. :-)

In 6 days I have lost 8 inches!!!! I lost a whole inch off my waist already and an inch and a half off my ass! woohoo! and the rest are from my arms, thighs, hips, and neck. :-) I'm sooo motivated! I just know that the rest is going to MELT off! woohoo!

Just thought y'all wanted to know. :-)

By the way...TURBO JAM ROCKS!!! (I'm starting my new videos (P90X) next week and those are supposed to be SUPER INTENSE!) Wish me luck!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Yesterday, August 6th, Shelby and I got to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my Dad, Mom, and my nephew Barrett. It was seriously TONS of fun. The last time I was at the Aquarium was when i was about 13. wow. Seems like forever. :-)

So we started out our day at Grammy's house (Shelby's Great Great Grandma) and had a nice healthy breakfast...OATMEAL! I love Oatmeal. :-) Shelby got to meet her Great Aunt Laurel (which was such a treat to see (Laurel fell hard for her...I can tell)). Then we said our goodbyes and piled into my Mom-Mobile! lol (sorry Jen..I stole that from you).

We drove CA-17 to CA-1 all the way to Monterey and made our first stop at a nice restaurant on Cannery Row (really good veggie burgers!) We had a lot of fun watching Barrett make a mess out of his food (toddlers are so much fun to hang out with!) Then we walked around and shopped a little bit (I can never turn down a nice shirt for Geoff (he's always destroying them by working on the Jeep)).

We finally made our way down to the Aquarium and started out Journey through the Ocean. :-) My dad was super awesome and paid for all of us! What a gentleman. (I love you Daddy!) We had the chance to touch some starfish and look at the wave pools (which we really neat to look at since they would dump all this water above us but with glass protecting us). I really enjoyed the Jellyfish exhibit (which I think Barrett liked too because he kept trying to grab them through the glass). It was cool going to the Ocean side because they had the REALLY big tanks with the sharks and gigantic fish. There were some really weird looking fish. We saw penguins and otters and sharks and manta rays and ducks, it was really fun. :-)

I didn't really take any pictures except for the one at the beginning. Sorry. But my dad did. So you should ask him. :-) Until next time...Thanks for stopping by!

Trip To Sacramento

Barrett and Shelby
Just Chillin
Mary drew a picture of Shelby
Geoff, Me and Shelby (by Mary)
Our little slugger :-)

Shelby and I just got back from Sac and had a blast. She is getting to be so active. I love it! The first night we were there she got to hang out with her Abuelita, her Aunt Andrea and her Cousin Barrett. Her Grandpa, Aunt Ivanna, and Aunt Mary took me to see The Dark Knight (which was a really good movie). That night she actually slept 5 hours straight! Woohoo! She's such a good girl. And while we were there she stood up. Yay! She hadn't tried doing that until last week so it was really neat to see. She and I went to Dixon on Thursday and Friday with Mary and my dad to help make copies and get everything set for this school year. It was fun and I'm glad I could help out. She was shown so much love! It seemed like no one could get enough of her! :-) Here are some pics. Enjoy!
