Another December Update.

The Month of December has been very eventful so far. We had a snow day!!! Geoff took us to CastleRock and Shelby got to have her first snow day!

Geoff and Shelby getting ready for our snow day. :-) The snow was gorgeous and there was a good amount of snow to play with. Shelby got all bundled up. It was sooo cute!

Shelby was a little confused at first. It was really cold and she started to get really excited. Here are pictures of Geoff enjoying our snow day with Shelby.

Shelby is standing on the base of our snowman. She looked so cute all decked out in snow gear. She has the cutest little smile!

Our little family. It was really cold but it was worth it. Soooo pretty. Usually we have to drive 4 hours to get to the snow. Instead, we drove 30 minutes. :-) Shelby's first snowball was HUGE! Of course she got to throw it at me.

Our delapidated snow man! Such a tiny head. After our snow day we decided to head over to Target for some last minute shopping. Shelby LOVES shopping carts. And we bought her a cute snow hat for future snow days!

We had the opportunity to babysit William and Angela while Nicole and her parents went to Nicole Christmas Show for school. Shelby was very intrigued by the new faces that were young just like her! Here's a picture of William and Angela goofing off with Shelby. And of course a cute picture of me and Shelby.

My favorite kids. All we need is Nicole. And here's Shelby sitting up. She's getting really good.

Me and Angela (My own personal mini me). Nicole LOVES Shelby so she was very eager to hold her once she got home. How cute. I love you guys!

Shelby all bundled up and ready for bed. Here's a picture of Me and Shelby at REI. We decided to do some Christmas shopping there too!

I just couldn't resist to put on some cool shades for Shelby. Here's a picture of Shelby sitting on her daddy's lap at Round Table (that's where we took the kids)

The whole gang at Round Table. Here's a picture of Shelby in the cutest little dress. I had one just like it when I was a little girl! I was so happy when we got it. On a side note, you see all those bows...yeah. She quickly learned how to undo them all. :-)

My little goofy butt sprawled out on the floor with all her toys. The other picture is what happens when you try to let your kid cry it out. HAHAHA! Man. She managed to undo all the ties and pull the liner up and over her head and turned herself around. She MUST be my kid. :-)

Lily, Adina and Ezekiel came over to hang out. Here are some pics.

Love is Hard Work

There are quite a few things in life that I genuinely believe you can only appreciate with hard work. Having a family is one of those. Shelby is my heart, my soul, my everything. The only other person in this world that I love as much as I love Shelby is her daddy. :-) She is a lot of work but worth everything. I love you Shelby.

Here is my little munchkin trying to crawl. She won't roll over, but she'll scoot on her butt. She absolutely LOVES her ball and is trying to get it.
Shelby is a big fan of water. She loves to eat baby food and drink water. She will drink this sippy cup dry at least once a day.
One of the MANY new things Shelby is discovering is destroying her crib set. Sometimes when she starts crying and she feels that I'm not responding fast enough she decides to turn 90 degrees and tear apart the crib set. Some mornings when she wakes up, I find she has turn 180 degrees (with her head facing the direction her feet were)
We are trying to get Shelby to drink formula before she goes to bed. Formula takes longer to digest so that means I might get some extra shut eye. Here's a picture of Geoff giving her some din din. :-)
I know some of you will love this and some of you will hate this. Here is a picture of Shelby with her first double barrel shot gun (don't worry folks...it's plastic and has nerf ball pellets).
Shelby is really eager to walk. She is always standing up on the couch trying to look over the other side.
Shelby in a box. hahahahaha! Geoff was bored one day and put her in this box. She actually liked it. She sat in it for like 20 minutes just chilling.
Another picture of my little angel standing. She was trying to help me fold clothes. That's why she's hanging on to the hamper for dear life.
Another picture of Shelby trying to play with the toy shot gun. She'll be a better shot then most grown men by the time she's 10.
My little pilgrim. He was grabbing everything I was folding so I threw this cap on her.

Hope you enjoyed the update!

It's December!

So much has happened since I last did a post. Shelby is bigger than ever and growing sooo fast! She's not a fan for rolling over (bummer) but she loves to sit, stand, kneel, kick, grab, pinch, laugh, love, smile, giggle, etc. She is such a happy baby and I love her so much!

So...in this picture she had ORIGINALLY been sitting up. She was playing with a bunch of her toys. WELL, I went into the kitchen to get some water and when I came back...this is how I found her. hahaha! My spider monkey baby!

I'm a lover of books and it looks like Shelby will be too! Her Auntie Jen gave her a bunch of cool books and she gets to read them EVERYDAY! :-) Thanks Jen!

Barrett and Shelby. Oh Boy. These two kids are inseperable when they're together. It is just too cute for words!

Look at this picture CLOSELY. You see Shelby's body and then you see arms...But where is the head belonging to those arms???? Shelby is in the process of trying to decapitate her father.

Like I said before, Shelby isn't fond of rolling over. This is her new move. She LOVES to be in the crawling position. She doesn't move yet. She just sits in this position and stares at her toys. And then she face plants anytime she tries to grab a toy. She's getting a lot better though.

This is actually Barrett's toy but Shelby was borrowing it. It's a mini table with lots of different buttons to push that play songs and talk to you in Spanish. It's pretty cool. She was definitely enjoying this toy. And she stands up so well!
Shelby and I made a trip to Sacramento and we had the pleasure of hanging out with Tower and Ben. It was a delightful trip. We went to K Street Mall, then to Old Sacramento, then to Sutter's Fort, then to the Sacramento Zoo, and our last stop was Denny's. Here is Shelby sitting in her first high chair at Denny's. Good job Shelby!

This is Shelby's lunch chair. She has many little gadgets to play with but this is also where she gets to eat her baby food and drink water. She LOVES water. So here she is enjoying a nice cold drink of water out of her sippy cup. :-)

I told you she likes sitting in a crawl position. Here she is trying to get to her ball. She ALMOST got it...then she face planted. She's one tough cookie though. She'll keep trying and trying til she gets it. :-)

Shelby is quite the eater! She LOVES food. :-) Anytime you eat around her, I guarantee that she will try to eat your food. It's quite endearing. This is how happy she is when it's carrot day. She LOVES carrots. So far, that's her favorite. She DOES NOT like peas. I don't blame her. haha. She does like Sweet Potato though. :-) Today will be her first day with fruit...I'll let you know how she takes it.

Thanks for tuning in to our Shelby updates. We love you all.

Love,
